It was told that Mr Zhou was out walking with his two brothers. The trio were on their way down from Tryfan and had decided to take a "short-cut" - which was a more difficult route with loose rocks.
Mr Zhou was leading, when he slipped on what is thought to be loose rocks - causing him to tumble down the mountain.
He was later found deceased by a mountain rescue team in the bottom area of a ravine having suffered significant injuries.
A patholgist's provisional cause of death following a post-mortem examination is blunt force head and spinal injuries.
A full inquest has been adjourned until a later date.
