A WOMAN and her children have launched a pet food bank in Colwyn Bay, and have invited people to “take whatever they need”.
Jennifer Kenealy, who moved to Colwyn Bay with her family in September, has started The Woodhill Pet Pantry with her three children.
The pantry is based at the Community Hwb and food bank on Rhiw Road, with the donations room finally set up.
Jennifer told the Pioneer: “I have always wanted to set up a pet pantry, food bank for pets.
“The community here in Colwyn bay is amazing, everyone helps each other out and are very supportive of one another.

“I have been taking donations of pet food for a few weeks now and I have enough stock to open up to those in need.
“The idea is that anyone can use the pet pantry, regardless of benefit status or income as I know that anyone can be in need as it's a hard time for everyone and people have different troubles or their circumstances change without warning and they can no longer feed their pets.
“There is no charge for my pet pantry, people can just come in and take whatever they need.
“I am doing this with my three children as I want to show them how they can support their community.”
