THE OWNER of a popular tea room and café in the centre of Llandudno has decided to sell the business.
Karen Thompson, owner of The Lemon Tree Tea Rooms, at 5 St George's Place, has made the “heart-breaking” decision to sell the café.
Ms Thompson said the decision was “huge”, having run the business with her parents Brian and Sheila after opening in 2017.
She said it had been a “journey and joy” to create what they have, but that the health of her and her family was the priority.
In a statement on social media, Ms Thompson said: “I have taken a huge decision and heart breaking one to say the least that I’m selling my business.
“It’s provided me with not only a huge amount of pride what myself and my parents have achieved in this time - we have worked our absolute socks off day in day out and can’t thank our staff enough.
“It’s an absolute journey and joy to have done what I have done but health for my family and myself comes first.
“It’s never the right time as I love what I do but now is the time - so much more I want to do, go and see the world.”
The business is now on the market, with Karen describing it as “one amazing success business with huge potential”.
