A TOP alehouse in Colwyn Bay has been voted the Pub of the Year in the Abercolwyn region.
The Bay Hop, at 17 Penrhyn Road, was voted Pub of the Year by members of the Abercolwyn Branch of CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale).
The alehouse and bottle shop, which opened in August 2016, has provided quality real ale and cider since.
Having amassed a large, loyal fanbase amongst beer and cider drinkers, the pub has also won several awards.
In 2018, it was named Cider Pub Of The Year, and claimed the Abercolwyn CAMRA Pub Of The Year gong in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020, as well as the North Wales CAMRA Pub Of The Year prize in 2019.
With four real ales of varying styles always on offer, as well as several real ciders and perries, the pub sells keg beers and a large selection of bottled and canned beer for drinking in or taking away.
A spokesperson for The Bay Hop said: “Seven years after our first Abercolwyn CAMRA Pub Of The Year award, and for the first time since Covid, we've been voted in the top spot again.

“A massive thank you to all our customers - without you this little pub is nothing.
“And thank you to all the local CAMRA members who gave us your vote.
“It's a genuine surprise - things have changed a lot since we last won, and I honestly thought our time had passed - cheers for showing that I know nothing about such things!”
The pub will be presented with its award on April 18, a night you can expect to see the beers flowing.
