A POPULAR crystal gift shop business on the famous Llandudno Pier has undergone the ultimate pink makeover.

The Crystal Hut, which opened on the pier in February 2022, unveiled its new all-pink design last week, matching the business’ other sites at Clonmel Street, Llandudno and the New Chester Market.

Always aiming to “stand out from the crowd”, the pink furniture has made the store “really bright and refreshed”, the owners said.

Owned by Kris Meredith and Paul Hales (and their little Westie Burt), The Crystal Hut has proven a popular shopping destination.

Starting out just two years ago, the business now has three sites and with the recent makeover, all the stores have identical pink interiors and unmistakeable neon signs.

Kris told the Pioneer: “Our pier store has always been the beating heart of the business and we are extremely lucky to be in such a divine location over the sea to bring so many unique crystals in the only way that we can.

“This has always been the dream, and we get to live that day in, day out.

“Our store makeover has come at just the right time just after our second birthday and as the 2024 season is about to kick off and everyone is getting excited for Easter.”

Paul added: “It’s been a real challenge to plan the makeover as there’s no vehicular access on the pier, plus our store is just 3m x 4m.

“Our shop fitters have worked so hard to help us to design and build the interior.

“The hardest challenge was to physically get the furniture down the pier, but we did it.”
