A COUPLE of people from the West Midlands who stole more than £2,000 of goods from three Llandudno stores have been spared jail.

Kayleigh Williams, 37, of Monarch Grove, Walsall was sentenced to 18 weeks’ imprisonment, suspended for 12 months, at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court.

Morgan Neville, 20, also of Monarch Grove, was sentenced to 18 weeks’ detention in a young offender institution, suspended for 12 months.

Both had admitted three counts of theft each.

The court heard that, on December 8, 2023, Kayleigh Williams and Neville stole the following:

  • Items varying from electronics to toys, amounting to a total value of £1,587.64, from Smyths Toys, Mostyn Champneys Retail Park.
  • Dog food worth £51.44 from Pets at Home, Mostyn Champneys Retail Park.
  • Cosmetics and health items valued at a total of £578 from Boots, Llandudno.

Jodie Williams, 35, of Fleming Road, Walsall, is also charged with stealing these items, and has had an arrest warrant issued.

These thefts, the court heard, had an element of “pre-planning” about them.

Kayleigh Williams and Neville were each ordered to pay £157.86 in compensation.

A fourth person; Charlotte Ryder, 38, of Nursery Road, Bloxwich, is charged with aiding the defendants in stealing the items, and has been remanded on conditional bail until her next court appearance on May 7.

Per the terms of her bail, she is not to enter North Wales for the time being, other than when she is due at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court.
