BANGOR ABERCONWY Liberal Democrats have selected Rachael Roberts from Llandudno as their prospective parliamentary candidate for the constituency.
Ms Roberts is a former pupil of Ysgol John Bright, Llandudno, and studied at the University of Wales and the University of London, where she gained an MA in Understanding and Securing Human Rights.
She works as a business partnership officer for a social enterprise for diversity and ability where she manages social justice projects that are led by, and for, neurodiverse and disabled people.
During the pandemic she led her international team running a grass roots organisation supporting refugees and asylum seekers in Athens, Greece.

She is a firm believer in community-based solutions when it comes to answering to, and providing for the needs of communities.
Ms Roberts said: "People who are being impacted by decisions need to be at the centre of decision making.
"The ongoing cost of living crisis continues to burden peoples’ lives, coupled with promises that keep going unfulfilled. It's clearly time for a change.
“I'm looking forward to serving our community and putting the trust back into politics - with the actions to match.”
