A POPULAR bed and breakfast in Llandudno could be converted into a residential property, after a planning application was submitted.
Between The Bays, at Gloddaeth Avenue, would simply become a home as part of the owners’ new plans.
The business currently offers six en suite bedrooms, across three storeys, with five of these rooms currently let out for six months a year.
Solely run by Tracey McLaren and her husband, the B&B has previously won awards for its service and its popularity with visitors.
It is rated the best guest house in Llandudno on TripAdvisor, with a rating of 5 stars based on more than 600 reviews - including loyal customers who often return.
However, owing to the couple's wish to retire, the bed and breakfast business would cease operation.

In a planning statement, Mrs McLaren said: “This is our permanent home.
“My husband and I have run the guest house by ourselves with no additional staff.
“We are now approaching retirement age and would like to continue living in our home.”
No changes to the external or internal integrity to the building have been proposed.
Planning to change the use of the building to residential was previously granted in 2009, and should the application be approved, the much-loved bed and breakfast will be sorely missed.
