IT'S been another busy week in this part of the North Wales coast, with our team bringing you all the latest news from Conwy, Colwyn Bay, Llandudno, and the surrounding area.

1. Llandudno headteacher with long list of achievements to retire
A headteacher of a school that has received a visit from the King, produced more than 125,000 eggs and has a honey harvest every year will step down from his post after 30 years.
Ian Jones, head of Ysgol San Sior in Llandudno, has seen the school double in size over the years - from 122 children to now having 243 on roll.

Mr Jones, who is married to Gemma, a nurse at Ty Gobaith, and has two sons - Ellis and Sam, said working at San Sior has been a "huge part of his life" one he has "loved". He credited the "dedicated and hardworking staff" who have supported him.

2. Owner of Britain's oldest Punch and Judy in Llandudno has no plans to quit
The custodian of Britain's oldest Punch and Judy show has come out swinging amid fears for the puppets' future - and says he has no plans to cancel.
Jason Codman, 55, says he has a "responsibility" to keep his booth in Llandudno running after 160 years of performances.
He made the comments after it emerged that a Punch and Judy show in Eastbourne, Sussex, has been axed after 120 years due to budget cuts.

3. Llandudno hotel undergoes makeover after food hygiene rating
A hotel in the centre of Llandudno is undergoing an extensive makeover, months after an ill-timed food hygiene inspection said “major” work was needed at the site.
The Broadway Hotel, at 1 Mostyn Broadway, was given a one-out-of-five score on September 6, despite not having a functioning kitchen at the time.

5. Colwyn Bay student completes 100k track challenge for charity
A student from Colwyn Bay raised thousands of pounds for charity by completing a gruelling 100k ultra-marathon challenge around the Eirias Park athletics track last week.
Oshi Adey, 18, who is currently at Warwick University studying politics, philosophy, and economics, received numerous deserved plaudits, for his brave efforts on February 17.
