A “GREAT Orme Goat” in Llandudno is believed to have sadly been put down yesterday after being spotted injured at the side of a road.
Jackie Caldwell spotted the Kashmir goat unable to move on Marine Drive at about 9.30am yesterday morning (February 18).
The RSPCA was then contacted, with Jackie later informed that, unfortunately, the goat had to be put to sleep.

She said: “I saw the goat at the side of the road while walking my dog, and was aware it was unable to move.
“I didn’t intervene as I had my dog, and it would have caused more distress. Then I sent a Facebook post for advice on who to contact.
“A few people have said that there’s an issue with cars driving around Marine Drive at speed. I also read that the goat had most likely been hit by a vehicle.”
The goats on the Great Orme were originally a gift to Lord Mostyn from Queen Victoria and have roamed in a wild state for roughly 100 years.
Last April, it was revealed that the number of goats in Llandudno would be reduced by relocating some of the animals.
Attempts have been made to contact the RSPCA for further comment.
