DEFENCES HAVE been set up to protect homes from the rising levels of the River Conwy.
Temporary defences are in place with the rising level of the river situation being closely monitored, Natural Resources Wales (NRW) said.
They added that should the river reach the highest level, protection will be used once and roads will be closed.

A Natural Resources Wales spokesperson said: "River levels are rising on the River Conwy and contractors on site are setting up temporary defences to try to secure homes.
"Our colleagues from CNC are monitoring the situation closely and if the river level reaches the highest level, the protection will be used once and the road will be closed.
"Be prepared for any surprises and plan your trip accordingly."
