A CRYSTAL gift shop in Llandudno is celebrating its first anniversary, having seen plenty of success in its first year of business.

The Crystal Hut, at Clonmel Street, opened in January 2023 and sells an an array of crystal-related products, from necklaces to kits, to a Pick & Mix and salt lamps, as well as incense and ornaments for the home.

Owned by partners Kris Meredith and Paul Hales (and pet Westie Burt), the business already operated a store on Llandudno Pier an in Manchester, and have since opened a new store in Chester.

They also made headlines when 101-year-old Doris, Paul’s grandmother, defied age to serve customers in the store.

Kris told the Pioneer the first year had “gone so quick”, and that they “can’t quite believe” the success it has had.

He said: “We are having a bit of a celebration, it’s been a fabulous year and we have a lot more in store this year.

“Thank you to everyone that’s been to see us here since it became part of The Crystal Hut family!”
