NEW concession kiosks could be constructed on Rhos-on-Sea promenade, after a planning application was submitted to the council.
The application, on behalf of Conwy County Borough Council, would see the construction of two kiosks – one across the road from the Mount Stewart Hotel, and another at the southern meeting point of the Cayley Promenade and West Promenade.
Construction of the food and drink kiosks is part of Phase 2B of the Colwyn Bay flood defence and public infrastructure improvement project.

End of an era as The Cayley kiosk in Rhos-on-Sea is demolished
The popular The Cayley kiosk, which stood for more than 60 years, was demolished at the start of 2023 to accommodate the ongoing work in the area.
Only the temporary Cayley Express kiosk remains on the Rhos-on-Sea seafront, and despite council hopes to complete the reconstruction of permanent replacements within a year, an application has only just been submitted.
The new kiosks would be made up of render and timber, with aluminium doors and zinc roofing.
The application is expected to be approved, given it has been made by the council as part of their plans for the area.
