A DOG was killed in Llandudno Junction after sustaining fatal injuries from an attack by a XL Bully.
Katie Taylor, 38, of Walton Road, was ordered to pay £980 as the owner of the dog, who was ordered to be put down at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court today (January 8).
She had previously admitted a charge of being responsible for a dog which was dangerously out of control.

The court heard that, at about 7pm on May 29, 2023, Katie Timmins and her partner were walking their two Yorkshire Terrier dogs at a park in Llandudno Junction.
On their way home, they walked past Taylor’s address, when the XL Bully, named Zoreo, ran out of the property’s open gate and attacked one of their dogs.
Zoreo belonged to Taylor’s son, who is currently in prison, while Ms Timmins said she was 32 weeks pregnant at the time of the attack.
She said she felt “terrified” throughout the incident, and has since suffered anxiety about walking dogs.
The dog which was subjected to the attack spent several days at an emergency vets in Colwyn Bay, before dying on June 9.
Veterinary bills of £2,257.34 were incurred, meanwhile
Ms Timmins said she took time off work following the death of her dog, which left her “absolutely devastated”.
In mitigation for Taylor, who had no previous convictions, the court heard that she “fully accepts responsibility” for what was a “one-off occurrence”.
It was unknown to her and her family that the dog had got out of the house; the first they heard of it was when they could heard the other dog yelping.
Taylor, who lives in a council property with her partner and four children, “did what she could to rescue the situation”.
Magistrates ordered the dog to be destroyed, while ordering Taylor to pay Ms Timmins £900 in compensation.
She will also pay a fine of £80.
They told her: “This incident would have been extremely distressing and traumatic for her (Ms Timmins).”
