A COLWYN Bay woman was found dead at home with a deep cut to her wrist, an inquest opening was told.
Carole Andrea Steward was found dead at her home at Alltwen, Llysfaen, Colwyn Bay on December 10.
At County Hall in Ruthin on Monday (December 18), an inquest was held into the 58-year-old's death.
John Gittins, senior coroner for North Wales East and Central, said that Mrs Steward was found dead after suffering an injury, with considerable amounts of blood found inside the property.
The court heard that Mrs Steward had a deep wound on her wrist - causing significant bloodloss. However, Mr Gittins said there was no evidence to suggest it was a deliberate act of self-harm, and that the evidence pointed towards it being an accident.
A full inquest has been adjourned until a later date.
