AN ORCHESTRA will perform a programme of festive musical treats as part of its annual Christmas concert.
The Conwy Town Orchestra’s annual Christmas concert always draws a crowd to the church in Conwy.
This year the orchestra will perform in Llandudno as well as its home town.
Concerts on December 14 and 16, include favourites from Tchaikovsky’s Christmas-time ballet The Nutcracker, Corelli’s beautiful Christmas Pastorale and other famous tunes.
Conductor Rosina Hearn said: “It’s always a pleasure to have such a large and appreciative audience in Conwy each Christmas, so this year we decided to put on a Christmas concert in Llandudno as well.
"The concerts will be interactive – this is your chance to sing your favourite Christmas carols with a live orchestra.”
The first concert will be at Gloddaeth Church, Llandudno, on Thursday, December 14.
The second will be at St Mary’s Church, Conwy, on Saturday, December 16.
Both concerts start at 7.30pm. Admission is free, with a retiring collection.
The community orchestra was founded in 2010. Players range from 14 to 80 years of age. Most are from Conwy county, and some from Gwynedd and Anglesey.
