A BENCH on Colwyn Bay’s Victoria Pier has been vandalised, with the council saying the damage was “pointless”.
The damage to the supporting crossbar of the bench was spotted by resident Wayne Roberts, who said “to damage it in this way would take an enormous amount of effort to snap the bar and then bend it”.
The vandalism follows damage done to another bench on the pier earlier this month, which forced the council to remove and repair the seating.

Mr Roberts said the seating was now “trashed”, and questioned “what has the bench ever done to anyone”.
Conwy County Borough Council said the decision to damage the bench was “pointless”.
A council spokesperson said: “Another bench on Colwyn Bay Victoria Pier has experienced an incident of vandalism.
“We’re saddened and disappointed by this pointless damage.”
