LLANDUDNO band Catfish and the Bottlemen have shocked fans by announcing they will headline Leeds and Reading festivals.
The band was formed in Llandudno in 2007 by Ryan "Van" McCann and Billy Bibby, whose parents both ran bed and breakfasts in the town.
However, after a meteoric rise and several successful albums, drummer Bob Hall and guitarist Johnny Bond left the band in 2021 amid allegations of "intolerable" behaviour.

This left frontman McCann and bass guitarist Benji Blakeway, as the band went on an unofficial hiatus.
However, Leeds and Reading organisers announced the band would be headlining the 2024 events, with Catfish confirming this in a social media post, saying "see you all in August".
It remains to be seen if there will be any changes to their line up, in what is an exciting development for the band's fans.
