A SEAFRONT hotel in Llandudno has closed for the winter as the owners say it is necessary for business to continue.
The County Hotel closed earlier this month, as it encounters a drop off in visitors in the winter months, common with the seasonal nature of the tourism industry.
As in previous years, the hotel will remain closed until the early spring of 2024, with the decision taken to maintain the business in the long term.
Owned by Bespoke Hotels, the hotel is currently on the market along with the rest of an extensive portfolio of hotels under the operator.

A spokesperson for the hotel said: "Hospitality is seasonal in nature and, as has been the case in previous years, The County Hotel is set to close for the winter months, with the significant drop off in trade making temporary closure the most viable solution to maintain the business.
“The hotel isn’t closing permanently though and is set to reopen in late March when trade traditionally returns.
“The hotel, along with the rest of the Coast & Country Hotel Collection's portfolio, is currently on the market – something that was announced earlier in the year.
“Whilst dialogue will start with any interested parties once an offer is received, we’re continuing to run the hotel as normal with a view to reopening once tourism picks up.”
