A POLICE cordon is in place in Colwyn Bay after an incident in the town earlier this morning (November 20).
This is in the Greenfield Road / Bay View Road area of the town.
North Wales Police said: “We are currently dealing with an incident that occurred in the Greenfield Road / Bay View Road area of Colwyn Bay in the early hours of this morning, with a police cordon in place.
“We would advise the public to avoid the area until further notice, but stress there is no ongoing risk to the local community.
“There will be a police presence in the locality today whilst our enquiries continue, and we thank you for your patience.”
A witness told the Pioneer: "All streets and alleyway are cornered off and forensics are at the car.
"At 4:30am, I was woken up by blue flashing lights straight through my window. When I looked out, I noticed an ambulance and two police cars parked.
"A car that was seen this morning is now crashed into a post leading to the slip road to the motorway."
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 3.48am to an incident at a property on Bay View Road in Colwyn Bay.
“We sent two emergency ambulances to the scene, where the crews were supported by a Cymru High Acuity Response Unit.”
