MORE THAN 100 planters and trees are being installed and grown on Rhos-on-Sea’s rejuvenated promenade.
56 low and raised planters and up to 75 trees will be grown as part of the ongoing coastal defence and promenade rejuvenation project in the area.
The almost kilometre stretch of coastline will see play areas for children, benches, new walkways and cycle paths, and new kiosks be built.

This is in addition to the completed sea defence work that allowed for the reopening of Rhos-on-Sea beach earlier this year.
A Conwy County Borough Council spokesperson said: The new waterfront planting will include 56 low and raised planters, with groundcover planting, over the 900 metres of new section.
“There will also be 65 small trees (2m high) and 10 larger trees (3.5m high) in raised planters along the activity zone.”
