A FISH and chip shop in Colwyn Bay has served its last meal.
The Bay Fish & Chips, on Sea View Road, posted a handwritten note on its door. It read: "Dear customers we are now closed for business. It has been a great pleasure to serve you all for the past four years. We have enjoyed our time here and have had some amazing staff and customers."
The Bay Fish & Chips also posted a statement on their Facebook page.
They wrote: "We are very sorry to announce that we have closed our doors for the last time. Many thanks for your custom over the last four years, we’ve enjoyed serving every single one of you.
"We have both been offered fantastic job opportunities and already started our new positions, hence closing the doors a bit sooner than expected.

"Once again, thank you for choosing us for your fish and chips, roast dinners, vegan options and gluten free meals. Once things have settled down we will turn this page into a local information page, soon please stay with us."
The statement was signed off from Craig and Sarah.
Card and gift shop Wood's, also on Sea View Road, closed in September. Former owner Neil Wood felt there was "little support" for independent shops like Wood's and that "crime, theft and antisocial behaviour" was putting customers off the town.
He said that footfall had dropped over the years and the town had become "an undesirable place to shop."
