A MOTHER has said she and her two daughters have lost all of their possessions and been left homeless after a fire at their Llanfairfechan house last weekend.

Lorna Williams, and her children Amy and Amelia, have “nowhere to live” after the blaze which ripped through their home, on Nant-y-Berllan, in the early hours of Sunday (October 1).

Anna-Lisa Winters-Jones, a family friend, has since set up an online donations page on the website “GoFundMe”, to help them with living expenses.

Lorna’s dog, Kodi, which she took on from her mother following her death in April, sadly did not survive the fire.

She said: “Everything is gone. All we’ve got left are the clothes on our backs. I’m not sleeping or eating, and I’m vomiting all the time. it’s just so stressful.

“We lived there for 10 years - I keep looking at it as being only a house, and that we’re all still alive, but still, I have nowhere to live with my kids.

“The village has been absolutely outstanding in helping us with clothes, donations, offering us places to sleep if we need to. Everyone has just rallied round us; it’s amazing, what they’ve done for us.

“My kids are OK; I don’t know how they do it, but they’re so resilient.”

As yet, the cause of the fire is unknown, Lorna said.

Anna-Lisa said she felt obliged to help Lorna and her family after seeing her endure “one hell of a tough year”.

She added: “She’s not only just gone through this, but she lost her mum not so long ago, as well. She’s had one hell of a tough year; it’s been very traumatic.

“Lorna’s family are still struggling to pay off the costs for her mum’s funeral, and to then be left with just the clothes on their backs… I just felt that I had to do something.”
