A LAMP post has been installed in the middle of the new cycle path on Rhos-on-Sea promenade.
The unusual placing, when all other posts are to the side of the path, caused some confusion among residents, with one saying it was an “accident waiting” to happen.
Many pointed out that the lamp post was easily avoidable, with enough space at that end of the promenade to pass without issue.

A Conwy County Borough Council spokesperson said: “The lighting column is positioned inward from the kerb to avoid underground cables.
“It will provide light for the parking bays, active travel route and the gardens.
“When completed, it will be treated to make it more visible to pedestrians and cyclists.”
