A SURGERY in Colwyn Bay has redirected its patients for the second time in the last week due what they said are "exceptional demands” on their services.

West End Medical Centre, on Conway Road, took to social media again today (September 27) to warn patients they would only deal with "urgent" requests.

The surgery encouraged patients to use alternative methods, and that they would be better served contacting other health services.

This follows the same advice the surgery gave to customers on September 22, which was also put down to "exceptional demands".

In a post on social media, the surgery said: "At present, West End Medical Centre is experiencing exceptional demands on its services, and therefore are only able to take urgent requests today, Wednesday, 27 September.

"We encourage patients to use the following services/methods: local pharmacy/pharmacist, minor ailment scheme, 111, minor injuries and for urgent care A&E.

"Thank you for your patience and understanding."
