AN ANNUAL must-see panto sprinkled with festive music and a star-studded cast of CBeebies presenters will be landing on stage at Venue Cymru.

The special adaptation of Robin Hood, being recorded at the Llandudno theatre on October 21 and October 22, will feature Rhys Stephenson, Justin Fletcher, George Webster and Maddie Moate.

The CBeebies Panto will tell the story of Robin Hood and his Merry Band protecting Sherwood Forest and its animal inhabitants from the Sheriff of Nottingham, who has a "very naughty plan to destroy the wood of its riches for her own benefit".

Full of catchy songs, dancing, and pantomime fun for all the family, CBeebies Robin Hood promises to, once again, be the must-see Christmas event for pre-schoolers and their families.

A Venue Cymru spokesperson said: “We’re thrilled to be hosting such a fantastic show which has proved its immense popularity by selling out its first ticket launch in under an hour.

"The Venue Cymru website welcomed over 4,000 guests by 12pm when the tickets were released with many more queueing in person at our Box Office. We’re so grateful to our brilliant Box Office Team who worked tirelessly to ensure ticket sales went as smoothly as possible, with demand for tickets coming from as far as Nottingham and Sheffield.

"Anyone who didn’t get tickets the first time round, will have the opportunity to try again on September 28, when we’re expecting another quick sell out.”

Tickets for the CBeebies Robin Hood Panto 4.30 pm showings will go on sale at 12pm on September 28, following its first ticket launch for the 1pm showings on September 21.

The show will be available to watch on CBeebies and BBC iPlayer closer to Christmas, with families also able to enjoy the theatrical spectacle in cinemas across the UK.

The play has been written by Andrew Pollard and Banks and Wag have provided the music.

The performance is aimed at children aged three upwards but 24-months (babes in arms) and under are welcome to attend and ‘go free on knees’. 

There are limited numbers of ‘babes in arms’ tickets per performance.
