A CAFÉ which is among the oldest in Colwyn Bay is offering customers a huge free cooked breakfast – if they can eat the entire meal within 30 minutes.

“Blod’s Coffee Corner”, on Abergele Road, is among those across the UK holding the “666 Devil's Breakfast Challenge”.

This sees hungry customers served six bacon rashers, sausages, eggs, hash browns, pieces of black pudding and toast, as well as double helpings of beans, tomatoes and mushrooms.

Anyone who can eat all of that in half an hour gets it for free, as well as having your picture placed on the wall of the café, and 25 per cent off your order the next time you visit it.

Successful re-opening under new owners for one of Colwyn Bay’s oldest cafés

‘Family fun day’ in Colwyn Bay raises hundreds for mental health causes

Co-owner Tyler Booker said: “There are quite a few places doing it nationwide, so I thought I’d take part.

“If you win you get your breakfast free, your picture on the wall, and 25 per cent off when you next come to Blod’s. If you don’t, it costs you £20!

“So far, we still haven’t had any challengers for it!”

The café re-opened in March under the new ownership of Tyler and her partner, James, having been closed since the previous April.

Shortly after its returned, it organised a “family fun day”, which raised more than £500 in aid of various mental health charities.

This included the Rhyl and Conwy branches of the charity “Mind”, which Tyler since raised another £100 for by completing an “ice bucket challenge”.
