A KINMEL Bay teenager who was asked to perform at Chester Pride was publicly re-booked for next year whilst on stage.
Ella-Grace Pritchard, 13, took to the main stage at Chester Pride on Saturday, August 19.
Before performing, she opened up about coming out this year. Her honesty was met by cheers from the crowd.
She said: "My name is Ella-Grace and I am 13 years old. Pride has been big for me because I have came out this year. Life is too short, I'd say you have to make the most of it."
The Hammond School in Chester pupil met The Vivienne, whose real name is James Lee Williams, and Gareth Gates at the pride event.
Mum Ceri said Ella-Grace loves everything about the LGBTQ plus community, Drag Queens and is "obsessed" with RuPaul's Drag Race.
"The Vivienne came to show support for Chester and as you can imagine, Ella-Grace was over the moon," Ceri said.
"She was overwhelmed, she’s a huge fan.
"She was very professional and they had some selfies and The Vivienne was very impressed with Ella-Grace's performance and how she commanded the stage and said she’s going to go 'very very far in life'.
"Gareth Gates was very lovely and she was excited to meet him because she loves Spirit in the Sky.
"It was so crowded, it was such a good turn out and such a hot day. It was amazing.
"The organiser of Chester Pride came onto the stage and publicly booked her again for Chester Pride 2024. The crowd went wild."
Ella-Grace, who has been bullied in the past, has grown in confidence since starting at The Hammond School.

Talking about what her daughter said on stage, Ceri said: "I was backstage doing the music so unfortunately I didn’t get to see her performances but I could see the crowds and the response from them. She was like a little pop star up there, no fear just full of confidence and she spoke to everyone and shared a very important message.
"She told the crowd 'love is love' and she opened up about coming out.
"A lot of younger ones were there and I think she touched a lot of hearts. She had so many thanking her, I was extremely proud.
"I loved her singing over the rainbow, it was a fitting song for pride. It was a beautiful day celebrating with all the LGBTQ plus community and all the locals and people who travelled all over the country to come to celebrate together such an amazing day."
The annual colourful celebration attracts crowds of 20,000.
