HUGE crowds flocked to the Eglwysbach Show on the weekend, with a range of activities and entertainment delighted patrons.
The show, which dates back to the 1940s, took place at Llwydfaen Farm, Tal y Cafn on Saturday, 12 August.
Some of the attraction and activities included cattle, sheep, and heavy and light horse competitions and exhibitions, with children’s classes, donkey rides and a fun dog show also taking place.
Flower, vegetable and handicraft stands, a speed shearing competition, tractor and classic machinery showcases, trade stands, a fairground and an art exhibition also added to the day.
Hundreds defied the rain and wind to attend, with the organisers thanking visitors for doing so.

A spokesperson for Eglwysbach & District Show Committee said: “We would like to thank all judges, competitors, stewards, volunteers, sponsors, patrons, advertisers and trade stands for supporting the Show.
“Many thanks to all the visitors that came to the show despite the wet weather in the morning.
“Many thanks to the Llwydfaen Family for welcoming us on their land once again.
“A special thank you to all our volunteers for working so hard on the day, and during the weeks beforehand, so that we could prepare and hold such a successful show - it would be impossible to hold the show without you all.
“Every section works hard before the day, and then everything comes together like a huge jigsaw on the day - the support from everyone has ensured another amazing show.”
Aberconwy MS Janet Finch-Saunders was also in attendance, and said after the event: “I would like to sincerely thank everyone involved in organising the show for making it such an enjoyable event for all. Their efforts are truly appreciated and it was a fantastic day.
“I thoroughly enjoyed having a stand, and despite the ever-changing weather, the show was a great success!
“My favourite part of the show is always meeting so many constituents. It was a delight to speak to so many people and see the exhibits.
“I look forward to next year’s show.”
