AN ANNUAL bowling contest in memory of a soldier who died 10 years ago raised more than £1,200.
Crowds gathered to watch a real masterclass of bowling at Rhos Park Bowling Club on August 3.
The event was in memory of army reservist Lance Corporal Craig Roberts, of Penrhyn Bay, who died on July 13 2013 on the Brecon Beacons mountain range in South Wales after suffering heatstroke.
L/Cpl's close friend Daniel Jones, who went to school with L/Cpl Roberts and has organised the event for the past eight years, said: "A great crowd watched a masterclass of bowling at the 8th annual Craig Roberts Memorial Invitation.
"A tremendous night was enjoyed by all."
