A BODY of a woman has been discovered on Penmaenmawr beach.
Earlier this morning (August 9), police asked people to avoid the beach and promenade in Penmaenmawr.
The force took to Facebook at about 7.20am to say: "Officers are currently dealing with an incident on the beach. Please avoid the area so that officers can carry out their work."
Access to the beach was closed off until about 11am.
It has now been revealed that the reason for the closure was connected to the sad discovery.
