HISTORIC paddle steamer the Waverley is set to return to Llandudno next year!

In June, the world’s last seagoing paddle steamer made two sold out trips from Llandudno Pier. The first on Tuesday, June 20 to the Great Orme and Puffin Island and the second on Wednesday, June 21 around the Anglesey Coast.

She also sailed from Liverpool to Llandudno and Llandudno to Liverpool.

More than 1,800 passengers were booked for sailings. 

Now Waverley Excursions Ltd has confirmed to the Pioneer that the vessel is to return to Llandudno in 2024. 

A spokesperson for the company said: "Based on the outstanding support towards Waverley’s sailings in June this year from Llandudno - we hope to return again in June 2024."

In June, it was the first time the Waverley had set sail from Llandudno Pier in five years. 

The unique vessel has undergone a £3million refurbishment.

The Waverley is currently sailing on her home waters from Glasgow and around the Clyde Coast until Sunday, August 27.

She will sail the South Coast and Isle of Wight from September 1 to 20 and London and the Thames Estuary between September 22 to October 8.
