A WATER slide at a Colwyn Bay swimming pool is unlikely to reopen to the public unless funding can be obtained.
The slide at Colwyn Leisure Centre, in the Eirias Park, has been out of action for some years.
One resident told the Pioneer: "I took my grandchildren to the swimming pool and I'm furious that it's still closed. I couldn't take them to the paddling pool in Llandudno and then the disappointment continued wheh I told them they couldn't go on the slide at Colwyn Bay swimming pool because it is still broke."
She went on to say that she has been "informed" that the slide isn't being fixed because it would cost "just as much" to replace it.

A spokesperson for Conwy County Borough Council said: "The swimming pool at Colwyn Leisure Centre is open to the public as usual. Unfortunately, the slide requires a repair and is currently not in use.
"We have received quotes for the work which exceeds the centre’s maintenance budget and are currently looking for funding to carry out the repairs."
