A PUB and restaurant in Mochdre has celebrated welcoming back customers under a new husband-and-wife management team.
The Mountain View, on Old Conway Road, re-opened for the time in months on Wednesday (August 2).
It has been taken on by Mike and Annie Rowlands, who have lived in Mochdre together for the last three years.
Mike hails from Mochdre, and Annie from Llandudno Junction, and both were regulars at Mountain View prior to its closure.

Annie said: “It was our local pub anyway, and we’d always wanted to run our own pub. So, when this one come up, we thought we’d give it a go.
“Mike has run pubs and nightclubs before, and I’ve done bar work, so we’ve both got experience in this area.
“We’ve brought a pool table back in to the pub after it had been taken out by the previous tenants, revamped the back bar, and added some TV and projectors to show sport.”
The pub will celebrate its return with an “opening party” from 4pm this afternoon (August 4), which will feature live music from Danni Mac from 7.30pm.
Mike and Annie also plan on bringing food back to the pub’s menu from next month.
Annie added: “We haven’t got the food up and running yet - that will start in about September. We just want to first concentrate on getting the pub back open to the brilliant pub it once was.
“The response has been really, really good, to be honest. We’ve been busy both nights, so we’re enjoying it so far.
“I’m glad we opened before our opening party as I think that would have been a bit overwhelming – I’m enjoying working with my husband, as well!”
The Mountain View’s opening times are 12pm-close every day (“last orders” are 11pm during the week, and 12.30am at weekends).
