A NEW bar in Rhyl celebrated its official opening in style last month.

“Tinkers Bar”, which already has a site on Towyn Road, Towyn, opened its second premises on Water Street on Saturday, July 1.

It has replaced “The Cove”, which closed for good on June 10.

Refurbishment at the site started immediately after The Cove’s closure, with new booth seating and decorating taking place.

Visitors can expect a bigger dancefloor, new lighting and sound system, as well as its new-look décor.

Open from 9am on July 1 until 3am that night, its “all-night party” opening event included DJ sets, dancers and fire performers.

James Tinker, owner of Tinkers Bar, hailed a successful opening weekend for its new premises.

He said: “It went really well; we have decorated the place to a high standard, and were extremely busy.

“People were saying that they had never seen Rhyl so busy.”

Tinkers Bar in Rhyl plans to be open most nights during the week until 3am. with entertainment, DJs and different-themed nights on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
