Crazy Catz puts on two sell-out shows in Llanfairfechan

This was presented by dance and drama academy - Crazy Catz.

The show was performed in the 'Crazy Catz style' under the direction of Cat McArdle, group leader.

Both performances were sold-out. 

Cat said: "Social media has been buzzing with pictures and enthusiastic reviews.

"The demand for tickets was so high that there was a rush for Sunday tickets from those who had attended on Saturday night and wanted to return.

"There were lots of big smiles, laughter, dancing, colourful costumes, and hilarious jokes. The overall Crazy Cat Spirit permeated the performance.

"This rendition of the classic story included unexpected plot twists, quirky props, chase scenes, while remaining faithful to the well-loved traditional tale.

"It was a joyful celebration and a resounding success for everyone involved."

The Llanfairfechan Community Hall served as the venue for the show.

Cat added: "Audiences commented that it felt like they were attending a performance at Venue Cymru."

The group had faced difficulties during the pandemic and was on the brink of closure.

Cat said: "Thanks to the kindness of the community in 2022, local businesses began sponsoring the group, leading to the creation of 'The Crazy Catz Community Wall' which has enabled us to stage our shows."

Singer Cat founded the group in Penmaenmawr 13 years ago.

Cat said: "My motivation stems from my own experiences growing up in Penmaenmawr, where I had to travel long distances to attend drama and dance classes."

Reflecting on the recent performance, Cat said: "I felt immense pride. Every child had their moment to shine on stage."
