LLANDUDNO FC have been dealt a further blow after manager Sean Eardley announced his resignation today (July 5).
The news comes after the Cymru North side had an application for Welsh Government grant funding rejected, with players and staff informed that efforts would continue in the search for a new pitch.
First team manager Sean Eardley resigned in a decision confirmed this morning, having guided the side to third in the league last year despite the challenges of playing away from home all season.
A club statement said: “It's with disappointment that we today confirm that first team manager Sean Eardley has resigned from his role.

“We'd like to thank Sean for all he's given to the club and wish him the best of luck for the future.”
Mr Eardley said: “It is with a heavy heart that I’ve decided to step down as first team manager at Llandudno FC.
"Over the last couple of seasons we have faced many obstacles as a management and playing staff, but have maintained our integrity, professionalism and togetherness throughout.
"To Dave and the members of the board who worked tirelessly behind the scenes over the past few months, the efforts have been unbelievable but sadly it wasn’t meant to be.
"To the amazing volunteers, thank you so much for everything you have done, you are simply irreplaceable and deserve a huge amount of credit.
"Thank you to the supporters who have followed us the length of the country and stuck with us, I hope I’ve left some fond memories for you to talk about for seasons to come.
"Finally to my amazing management team and players, thank you so much for your efforts, dedication and sacrifice during my tenure - an unbelievable changing room with too many memories and I genuinely wish you all the best in your future endeavours.”
