FILMING for a movie starring big Hollywood names such as Sigourney Weaver and Miles Teller has reportedly taken place in Llandudno.
Residents saw crews setting up base at West Shore last Thursday (June 15). It is understood filming was for a new Apple Original Film called The Gorge. The production, described as a "high-action, genre-bending love story", also stars Anya Taylor-Joy.
Filming reportedly took place on the Great Orme and at a church yard on the Great Orme.
Resident John Hume Snr, who saw the crew setting up a base at West Shore, said: "I saw the crew [setting up a base] early Thursday morning. I was walking along the West Shore footpath and saw some vehicles had arrived in the Blue Cafe car park at West Shore, with more lorries arriving all the time with the usual equipment associated with a film shoot... 'stars', portable caravans, Portaloo's, and of course that essential vehicle for any film crew on location - The Chuck wagon/mobile kitchen.
"I only hung around for few minutes so I didn't really observe much.
"Whilst I was there I would estimate that there were around a dozen or so large lorries.
"More vehicles were arriving all the time in preparation for the filming, which I believe took place in the St Tudno churchyard on the Great Orme over the following three days."
'The Gorge' is being directed by Scott Derrickson. The script is written by Zach Dean.
One person, who took to Facebook group You know you are from LLandudno, was convinced they saw Top Gun: Maverick actor Teller in the West Shore Beach Cafe.
Others also took to the group to voice their excitement.
"Great for the town, they're only here for a couple of days, puts us on the map, free publicity!" One person said.
