SCOUTS enjoyed a memorable sleepover at 'The Clink' - the dark and dunk second camp used in the 2021 season of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!
Scouts from 6th Colwyn Bay Scouts and 1st Abergele (St Michael’s) paid a visit to Gwrych Castle - which played host to I'm A Celeb in 2020 and 2021 - for a 'sleep out' and awards ceremony.
The scouts slept over at the castle on Saturday, June 3 and the ceremony took place in the morning on Sunday, June 4.
A spokesperson for Gwrych Castle, which is located near Abergele, said: "We welcomed the 6th Colwyn Bay Scout Group to the castle over the weekend.
"The troop from the new district Colwyn Bay and Abergele completed their Scouts Cymru Dragon Bronze Award and were the first in Colwyn Bay and Abergele to do so.
"The group that slept out were scouts from 6th Colwyn Bay Scouts and 1st Abergele (St Michael’s)."
Some of the guests at the event included Mark Baker, chair of Gwrych Castle Preservation Trust; Bev Baker, founder trustee; councillors Abdul Khan, Colin Matthews, Chris Hughes; Billy Baxter, Llandudno Town Crier; Darren Millar, Clwyd West MS; Len Gale, honorary president for Colwyn Bay and Abergele Scouts and John Barker and Ted Francis of the Rotary Club Colwyn Bay.

Ro Brett, Group Scout Leader, said: "The whole event was six months in the planning.
"We were pleased to see their reaction.
"All the scouts were so happy and thought it was amazing to spend the night at Gwrych Castle."
The scouts group have been sleeping out once a month as part of their badges.
Their night in 'The Clink' was the final sleepover required.
