Christopher Kerr’s “Fission” will be available on Wednesday, June 28, and is based on meticulous research, delves into real events from World War II to the present day.
In “Fission”, an investigation into a series of unexplained deaths of former Israeli intelligence agents uncovers startling revelations from the past, which expose a current threat to and the world at large.
Investigators discover Adolf Hitler’s astonishing plans, in the closing stages of the Second World War, to use an atomic weapon.
A post-war strategy is revealed, adopted by the fledgling state of Israel, to obtain “the bomb”, employing deadly espionage tactics, even involving former Nazis.
But further evidence then throws new light on one of the most tragic and shocking assassinations of the 20th century.
Agents then desperately seek answers in a race against time, as they strive to prevent a global catastrophe.
Christopher became an author after a career as an entrepreneur, and has also formerly worked as a civil servant and marketing executive.
Based on a keen interest in politics and current affairs, his genre is modern historical fiction, set against real events, to give added authenticity, and perspective to human drama.
He took up writing novels following the death of his wife, who always encouraged him to fulfil his lifelong ambition.

Christopher said: “I love to research into hidden areas of history, uncovering facts or stories that many may find uncomfortable but which can reveal so much.
“This book delves into so many areas which have never been properly covered, exposing explosive new revelations within a fast-paced international drama in which many historical figures were involved.”
“Fission” will be available for £10.99 via publishers The Book Guild from June 28.
