A YOUTH has been airlifted to hospital following a serious road traffic collision in Colwyn Bay earlier this afternoon (June 5).
At 2.02pm, North Wales Police received a report of a two-vehicle collision on Kings Drive involving an unregistered motorcycle and a Vauxhall Corsa.
The male rider has been airlifted to hospital in Stoke by the Wales Air Ambulance with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries.
The male passenger has been taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd, Bodelwyddan with what is believed to be serious injuries.
Both driver and passenger from the Vauxhall Corsa have sustained what is believed to be minor injuries.
PC Pete Doran of the Roads Policing Unit is appealing for witnesses.
He said: “We are urging anybody who may have witnessed the collision, or anyone who was in the area of Kings Drive shortly before 2pm and who may have dash cam footage to contact us as soon as possible.
“The road remains closed whilst the initial investigation takes place involving colleagues from the Forensic Collision Investigation Unit.”
