DO YOU have old photos of life on Adra housing estates in North Wales and are willing to share them for a special exhibition this summer?
The housing association’s community team is working with the National Eisteddfod to organise an exhibition at Eisteddfod Llŷn and Eifionydd field being held in Boduan, near Pwllheli.
The theme of the exhibition will be “Balchder Bro” (community pride), and the intention is to celebrate life on housing estates where Adra currently has homes.
It is hoped that the photos will reflect what community means to residents.
Sion Eifion Jones, community officer with Adra, said: “The Eisteddfod had been in contact asking to collaborate on a community project that would promote the arrival of the Eisteddfod to Gwynedd but also leave a legacy after the Eisteddfod has left the area.
“The hope is that the Balchder Bro project will give people the opportunity to share stories of living on housing estates over the years, share information about life and characters and what was unique about their communities.”
The exhibition will appear in the Adra tent at the Eisteddfod throughout the week (August 5-12).
Anyone with images they are willing to share can email Adra at: cyfathrebu@adra.co.uk, or phone the team on 0300 123 8084.
