ADVENTURE company Zip World launched its latest exhilarating adventure at its Penrhyn Quarry site today (May 26).
"Aero Explorer”, a six-figure investment from Zip World, gives adventurers a unique new experience, enabling them to soar across a 400m-long spiral suspension track.
The track, powered entirely by gravity, can reach speeds of up to 30mph.
It opens to the general public tomorrow (May 27), following today's successful launch event.
Participants are suspended in the air by a harness as they descend 35m down to ground level, taking in views of formerly the world’s largest slate quarry.
It also features two spiral turns as riders descend to ground level, which takes three to five minutes.
Adrian Jones, Zip World chief executive, said: "Zip World has a reputation for creating innovative, new adventure experiences, and this one is rather special in the context of what we've done.
"This experience is unique. I think it's the closest thing to flying that you can experience.
"We've brought the spectator experience alive, as well; we've built it in such a way that the spectator experience is also enriched.

"It's very important that we continue to invest into our existing sites, as well as what we're looking to do at other new sites.
"It's all about economic development for the entire region."
Cllr Medwyn Hughes, chair of Gwynedd Council, also attended today's event, and thanked Zip World for the economic boost that Aero Explorer will bring the region, before trying out the attraction himself.
The new attraction has also created 12 initial jobs, with more expected to be introduced in future.
Tickets for Aero Explorer are now on sale via the Zip World website. Prices start at £22 for a single rider, and £70 for a group of four.
Each ticket includes two rides.
Aero Explorer is designed to be suitable for all the family to enjoy, with the attraction open to children with a height of 1m and above.
Children must be supervised by a participating adult, and normal medical restrictions apply.
Comfortable clothing and sturdy footwear is advised.
