BELOW is a round-up of all of the criminals whose prison sentencings were covered by the Free Press, Journal, Pioneer or Chronicle in April.

These seven men were members of an organised crime group involved in supplying cocaine to Rhyl across a period of more than three-and-a-half years.

Of the seven of them, six were jailed on Thursday (April 27), while Alan Williams, pictured below, was sentenced the following day.

Christopher Roscoe

Roscoe, 43, of Llys Y Rhos, Rhostrehwfa, was jailed after he used social media platforms in Rhuddlan to groom two people he thought were girls aged 14 and 13.

He was also made subject to sex offenders register notification requirements and a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).

Michael Williams​

Williams, 67, of Pentregwyddel Road, Abergele, was jailed after raping a woman and a child.

He was also guilty of voyeurism, and possession of indecent still and moving images of children.

Liam Grimwood

Grimwood, 30, of Clos Dol-Y-Coed, Prestatyn, who demonstrated “appalling coercive behaviour” to his ex-partner, was jailed.

He was also handed a 10-year restraining order, preventing him from contacting his victim, Emma Blackwell, during that time.

David Martin

Martin, 33, of Bodfor Street, Rhyl, was jailed after a “completely out of control” attack on his ex-partner and for inflicting homophobic abuse on a police officer.

He had also caused criminal damage to two televisions and a car.

Daniel Lewis

Lewis, 29, of Peatwood Avenue, Kirkby, was jailed after attacking a pensioner on the A55 in Abergele in the early hours of New Year’s Day in 2022.

He was also made subject to a five-year restraining order, prohibiting him from contacting or approaching his victim, Brian Roberts, in that time.

Tony Greenwood​

Greenwood, 53, of Bridge Street, Llangollen, was jailed after sexually abusing two girls in Rhyl, and possessing more than 700 indecent images.

In total, he was charged with seven counts of sexually assaulting a child under 13, possessing 704 indecent images of a child ranging from Category A to C, 168 extreme pornographic images, 49 prohibited images of a child, and 13 videos.

Richard Gardner

Gardner, 40 of Tan y Lan Road, Old Colwyn, was jailed after his lack of attention while driving killed a cyclist in Bangor.

He was disqualified from driving for two years and five months, and must first pass an extended re-test.

Winters, 44, of Holyhead, was jailed after he was found guilty of committing a burglary in the town.

Ashcroft, of Holyhead, was jailed following VAWG (violence against women and girls) offences.

He received a sentence of 36 weeks’ imprisonment, and was also issued with a restraining order.

Williams, 54, of Powell Road, Buckley, was jailed after police spotted a bag of cannabis at a house on Anglesey, then discovered further drugs worth more than £70,000.

He said he was “minding” the drugs, in debt and scared of someone.
