A 13-year-old boy has been arrested for assault and public order offences in Llandudno.

This is following an incident outside Llandudno swimming pool on Monday (April 24) and a public order incident at Ysgol y Creuddyn, Penrhyn Bay on Tuesday (April 25).

He is currently in police custody as investigations into both incidents continue.

A North Wales Police spokesperson said: "Local officers have recently seen an increase in criminality and anti-social behaviour being committed by youths.

"Such behaviour that affects our local community will not be tolerated and we are taking a robust approach to dealing with anyone found committing it.

"A 13 year old male has this morning been arrested on suspicion of S47 Assault and Public Order Offences, and is currently in police custody following an incident outside Llandudno swimming pool on Monday, and a public order incident at Ysgol y Creuddyn, Penrhyn Bay on Tuesday.

"Our investigations into both incidents are ongoing."
