A RESIDENT of Llanfairfechan said he was left dismayed by refuse collectors not taking his bin last week.

The man, who asked not to be named but said he lives on Upper Mill Road, captured the below footage on his Ring doorbell on Monday, March 27.

It shows one council worker walking up to his bin before deciding not to collect it, with a colleague watches in the background.

Conwy County Borough Council (CCBC) said he had not left his bin out for collection in this instance.

The resident said: “I pay my council tax - it just takes the p***. You can see that they can’t be bothered.

“One of them tries, so fair play to him, but you can see the other basically just saying ‘forget it, just leave it’.

“I don’t know why they do that. They’ve done it to quite a few of us now.  I’ve left a complaint on the council’s website, but nobody’s got back to me.

“I’d just like them to do their jobs properly.”

In response, a CCBC spokesperson said: “We collect recycling containers and bins from the kerbside or the property boundary, where they are easily accessible, to help us make collections as efficient as possible.

“On this occasion, the resident had not put their containers out for collection, so they were not collected.

“We have spoken with the resident, and trust this is now resolved for future collections.”
