A FAST food chain has opened its own express kitchen within a café and bar in Llandudno.

Hungry Cow is operating from inside The Fat Cat Café Bar, 149 Mostyn Street, as of today (March 29).

The chain, known for its huge burgers, wings and loaded fries, has previously opened restaurants in Holywell and Mold, and an express kitchen at The Jolly Sailor in Prestatyn.

Its express kitchen opening hours at The Fat Cat will be 4-9pm from Wednesday to Sunday.

Orders can be made on Hungry Cow’s own mobile app, with Hungry Cow initially offering dine-in and collection services at The Fat Cat.

Christy Goode, from Flint, set up Hungry Cow in 2021 after first renting pub kitchens at the George and Dragon in Flint and the Cross Foxes in Prestatyn.

He said: “Llandudno was in our top three locations, along with Mold and Prestatyn.

“The Fat Cat’s a nice venue; I’ve been here before and know the area.

“With an express kitchen, the way we see it is that we come in, operate from the kitchen, and help drive footfall into the venue.

“This is one of the best kitchens we’ve come in to; it’s well-equipped for us to push big numbers out of it.

“We’re going to start here with just dine-in and collection orders, and then further down the line, we’ll bring in delivery, to make sure we get it right.

“We’ve learnt a lot from the Prestatyn site, and are implementing what we’ve learnt there into this site. We’re only going to get stronger as we open more kitchens.”

The chain hopes to open more express kitchens in the future, and will be introducing a new menu, as well as more vegan options, in the coming weeks.
