THE METHODIST Church in Rhos-on-Sea has been sold to a developer from Manchester.
The church, at 49 Rhos Road, closed at the end of August 2022 after nearly 100 years of service.
Its closure was attributed to a dwindling parish size, with older and fewer parishioners unable to manage the workload of maintaining the premises.
It has now been sold to a developer from Manchester, who will be keeping the building as it is. The site will undergo a renovation.

It was sold off an asking price of £500,000 by Colwyn Bay-based estate agents St Davids Commercial.
A St Davids Commercial spokesperson told the Pioneer: “It’s just been sold to a developer who is going to keep the building as it is.
“It’s a Manchester developer who will keep the building as it is and renovate it to a high standard.”
The Methodist fellowship in the town has continued since the site’s closure.
