A FAMILY-RUN Italian restaurant in Conwy has been sold after more than 30 years of business.
Alfredo’s Italian Restaurant, at 9-10 Lancaster Square, Conwy was founded by Biagio Ramiconi in 1959, who converted the former Boot Inn and Plas Coch into a restaurant.
It was taken over by the Scaletta family lead by Pete and Christine in 1990, and remained a popular establishment for more than 30 years.
The restaurant catered for up to 120 people at a time, its authentic Italian cuisine proving popular with both residents and tourists.

Deciding it was time to retire, the site went on the market with St Davids Commercial in 2021 for an asking price of £649,950.
It has now been bought by Richard Reynolds, who owns the Bodnant Welsh Food Centre in Tal-y-Cafn.
In a post on social media, the family said: “Thanks to all our customers for being so loyal over the last 33 years. We will miss you all!
“Love Chris and Pete.”
St Davids Commercial said via social media: “After over 33 years in business, Alfredo’s Restaurant has been sold.
“We wish the new owners good luck in their venture and also wish Christine and Peter a happy retirement.”
