A GIRL from Llandudno is to have 12 inches of her hair cut to raise money for a charity providing wigs to people who lose their own hair through cancer treatment or conditions like alopecia.

Phoebe Hart, aged eight, will be losing her locks in aid of The Little Princess Trust, which makes free real hair wigs, on April 29.

The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.

Phoebe’s mother, Keelie, has also set up a donations page, which you can contribute to: www.justgiving.com/page/phoebe-may-1679565686078.

A £500 target has been set.

Keelie said: “The Little Princess Trust relies solely on the generosity of its wonderful supporters, who help the charity give hair and hope to so many children and young people with cancer each year.

“It costs the charity £500 to make one wig that then goes to a child in need for free, so this year, for her birthday, Phoebe has asked if she can donate her long locks to little girls that need it.

“Phoebe has never had more than just the ends cut off her hair to keep it healthy, so this is a big thing for her.

“We are super proud and want to support her as much as we can through this journey!”

There will also be a charity box and donation form in the Capelli salon, on Stephen Street.
